1st Rank Raju

‘Ist Rank Raju’ is a 2015 Kannada language drama film written and directed by Naresh Kumar. Manjunath V Kandkur produced the film under the film banner of Dolphin entertaimnet. Firan Ravichandran is the music director of the film. The film casts Gurunandan, Apoorva, Thanuska, Chandru, Sadhu Kokila, Achyut Rao, manadeep Rai and Master Chinmai.

Ist Rank Raju unfolds the story of a smart, beautiful and talented guy, who really is a good for nothing fellow in real life. It is based on the modern education system and modern parents who insist too much on their children to study the lesson, only lessons in their life. Raju was a talented student and stood first in his studies from school to college level in his life. His parents were very proud of him and always insisted on following the syllabus strictly and considered this system of study is the only way to success in life. Raju followed the rules of his Dad and grown as  a young man with bookish knowledge. He ignored or in other way didn’t care about practicalities of normal life.  Though he passed all exams with flying colours, his ignorance in practical life were a great challenge before him and he slowly understans the worthlessness  of his education with out any practical knowledge. He understood that book alone can’t teach him everything in life and many realities in life opened his eyes and showed him how to be bold and vigilant in life to lead a normal life.

The film received many positive reviews and all the characters of the film except one or two has done justice to their characters. It is in a way an eye opener to many parents who tries to stick their  children like  a book worm in school and house. Actually these ‘mechanichal students’ are a national waste  to the country and they are actually increasing the burden of the parents when ever they start to face a real problem in life. They even don’t know how to make friendship with others and how to love each other. Their utter failure makes them disappointed and their successful career records becomes an actual burden to them. The importance of extra caricular activities in Schools and the responsibilities of parents to children are clearly expressed in this film by the Director.
